Brands

“Clinical-grade” skincare isn’t a regulated term,
and not every brand making the claim is worth your time
(or your money.)

I’ve tested hundreds of clinic lines and been truly impressed by only a handful. They’re the ones I’ve chosen to partner with for SK-N. They enable me to ensure every patient’s routine is individually designed and guided, rather than simply sold.

I’ve worked hard to bring them to New Zealand, because I’d rather not settle for less.  Learn more about each brand, and my relationship with them below.

AlumierMD

Alumier first caught my attention in 2019, when I was living and working in the UK, and immediately felt like the blueprint for how a skincare brand ought to operate. They’ve done what so many glossy salon lines only claim to: recruit a gold-standard R&D team to produce evidence-based formulations according to rigorous clean-science standards. Integrity is built into their “professionally dispensed” model: the range is available exclusively through licensed practitioners, who undergo intensive education and training to ensure they understand how to introduce and combine products for the best possible results.

For me, the brand offers a Neapolitan ice cream of benefits: a broad and customisable product portfolio, allowing me to truly match the routine to the individual, and fast-absorbing and wearable formulas that also layer and play well with makeup. Bottom line: it doesn’t work if it stays in the bottle!

Alumier approached me in 2025 to become their distributor in New Zealand – a market that would otherwise be too small for them to justify this level of investment. It’s a common challenge in NZ, and I’m genuinely proud and excited to make this calibre of product available locally.

Cellderma

I first met Dr. Dev Patel in 2022, and immediately recognised a fellow skincare obsessive. An aesthetic physician running his own busy clinic, Dev created Cellderma to solve problems he was seeing every day in practice – particularly the need for a post-procedure repair serum that truly speeds recovery. On first trying the range, the potency of those little bottles made it obvious he’d prioritised efficacy over cost.
The brand is still in its early days, but it’s already – and unsurprisingly – making serious waves in the UK.

Skinade

This is a product I really didn’t want to like.
So many supplements are difficult to swallow – both literally (getting an efficacious dose means multiple or very large pills which make you feel yucky) and from a credibility standpoint. Oral collagen is still a Wild West market, with some astronomically priced brands offering very little in the way of credible evidence to support their claims; the most that can be said for most formulas and delivery methods is that the jury’s still out.

But Skinade is different: I saw changes in my skin within weeks, but I felt the boost to my mental clarity even sooner. It’s replaced my first coffee of the day (thank you, Vitamin C and Vitamin B complex.) The brand’s patented, low-molecular-weight form of marine collagen has compelling science for its bioavailability. It’s become an essential daily staple for me, so I had to bring it to NZ.
